How can I track bookings from Callie?

Updated Sep 25, 20262 min read

When Callie sends scheduling links by email, it can add tracking information. This helps you see which bookings come from Callie. Learn how to use tracking parameters with Callie.

How does Callie track bookings?

Callie automatically adds tracking information to scheduling links it sends. This lets you see in your reports which meetings were booked through Callie.

You cannot customize Callie's tracking information. The parameter names and values are set by Calendly.

Understanding UTM parameters

UTM parameters are tags you add to links to track where traffic comes from. Standard UTM parameters include:

  • utm_source (where the traffic came from, like "email")
  • utm_medium (how the traffic came, like "callie")
  • utm_campaign (the campaign name)
  • utm_content (which version or variation)
  • utm_term (search keywords, if applicable)

Calendly's native tracking works separately from your custom UTM parameters.

Using standard UTM parameters

You can add standard UTM parameters to your Calendly booking page or scheduling links. See How to track conversions with UTM parameters for details.

These custom parameters work in addition to Callie's automatic tracking.

You cannot customize Callie's automatic tracking. However, you can modify links after Callie generates them:

  1. Copy the link Callie sends
  2. Add your own UTM parameters to it
  3. Share the modified link with your client

Example

Callie generates: calendly.mom/username/meeting-type?a=1

You modify it to add tracking: calendly.mom/username/meeting-type?a=1&utm_source=email&utm_medium=callie&utm_campaign=sales

What you cannot do

Callie tracking has these limitations:

  • You cannot customize Callie's automatic tracking parameters
  • You cannot turn off Callie tracking
  • You cannot route Callie links through your own tracking service
  • You cannot send Callie attribution directly to third-party tools (use Calendly's native reporting instead)

If you need advanced tracking

  1. Ask Callie to provide scheduling options
  2. Copy the generated links
  3. Modify them through your tracking system
  4. Share the modified links with your client
